Why We Worship

Why We Worship

Cresheim Valley Church worships on Sundays because the gospel is true and beautiful. For nearly 2,000 years the gospel, the central message of the Christian faith, has been transforming people and culture in every nation all around the world. Why? Because of the powerful news that Jesus Christ, the incarnate Son of God, gave himself up for us in love to bring the grace and healing we could never find ourselves. He died on a cross in our place, taking on our sin and death, and in power was resurrected three days later. He now reigns in heaven so that we might find that grace, peace, and life he earned for us with God and with one another.

We worship the Lord, not only by singing, praying, and studying his truth, but also by loving one another, spreading the good news of his grace, and by working for mercy and justice in our communities, especially for the poor and suffering.

We invite you to join us for worship on Sunday mornings, and we welcome all people, no matter your questions, your doubts, your baggage, or your background. Our desire is that the church be a safe place to wrestle with faith and life in loving and supportive relationships with others.
