Luke 2:21–39 Christ, the Fulfillment of the Law

Luke 2:21–39 Christ, the Fulfillment of the Law

When does the Christmas narrative end? Pastor Leonard explains how it never ends as we are always receiving and abiding in Christ. Many people believe only half of the gospel, that Christ died for their sins. This sermon sheds light on the other missing half, the saving life of Christ. In this sermon we learn how Christ fulfills the law for us: fulfilling its requirements, demonstrating its purpose, and modeling its function in our lives. There are two choices facing everyone: receiving the gift of authentic righteousness or striving for pseudo righteousness. The law reveals the impossibility of striving and the joy of receiving the completed righteousness of Christ.
