I Corinthians 4 A Humble Servant, a Faithful Steward and a Devoted Father

Show me your leader and you will reveal the priorities of your heart. The characteristics of leadership that we applaud, we also emulate. Paul knew this and in his concern for the unity of the Corinthian church, he turns his attention to the characteristics of leadership that are worthy of emulation. They are radically different from that of the world and as such call us to cross current living as apprentices of Jesus. In this continuing series on 1 Corinthians, Pastor Leonard examines Chapter 4, where we are called imitate leaders who are humble servants, faithful stewards and devoted fathers. When we are asked, “Take me to your leader” will we take people to Jesus or to some pseudo poser? This sermon points the way to authentic leadership and genuine followership.
