Saturday, September 15, 2018 from 1 to 5 PM (rain date Sunday, September 16) at Allens Lane Art Center! Friends, families, kids, neighbors, live music, real barbecue under a big tent and all for a great cause: Philabundance!
Check out the video from last year!
The fourth annual #FeedPhiladelphia for Philabundance hosted by Cresheim Valley Church features fantastic, local bluegrass and gospel musicians: Ashli Rice Gospel Review, White Cheddar Boys, and the Germantown Church of the Brethren Praise Band…
(Not to mention the best pit barbecue this side of Philadelphia brought to you by our renowned pit boss, Jim Arthur).
We ask for a donation for the food and entertainment: $20 for adults, $10 for children. All proceeds go directly to Philabundance.
The event includes games for the kids, many with a fun, food theme. Philabundance representatives, including Mt. Airy native and Philabundance Executive Director, Glenn Bergman will be attending, sharing their success, program and vision which serves those in need in the Philadelphia area.
“Philabundance is grateful to #FeedPhiladelphia organizers and attendees for raising $12,000 last year, providing meals for 24,000 of our neighbors in need,” said Glenn Bergman
Last year 450 folks were served up some stomach satisfying barbecue along with soul satisfying tunes.
This year’s goal is $15,000 serving 600 happy folks. A $15,000 donation to Philabundance will provide 30,000 meals to those in need. Come on out and support this amazing crew and cause!
The mission of Philabundance is to drive hunger from our communities today, ending hunger forever. Philabundance serves 90,000 people each week, 30% of whom are children, 15% of whom are seniors, and others served include the working class, single parents and veterans.
